However, outside of Japan, it has become the catch-all term for animation from Japan.

Because all things anime tend to be lumped together, it’s tempting to think of anime as a genre. It isn’t, at least no more than animation itself is a genre, but rather a description of how the material is produced. Anime shows, like books or movies, fall into any number of existing genres: comedy, drama, sci-fi, action-adventure, horror and so on.

For decades, anime was produced by and for Japan — a local product, with a distinct look-and-feel to not just the artwork but the storytelling, the themes, and the concepts. Over the last forty years, it has become an international phenomenon, attracting millions of fans and being translated into many languages.

Here is our list of Top 10 anime classics that everyone should watch.

Jungle Taitei (Kimba the White Lion)

hd-wallpapersdownload.com

So, what characteristics actually make up a classic anime? Is it their popularity throughout the years? Or maybe rather how old they are? Well sure, those things play a huge part in the equation, but the most important duty anime classics have is to leave a footprint in the world of anime, allowing it to continue to evolve in the future. One classic anime that nailed this task is Jungle Taitei (Kimba the White Lion) (aka Jungle Emperor Leo). The story is based around the tragic story of a little lion cub named Leo who loses his parents at a young age and is forced to grow up without family, but there is no need for fret because Leo soon meets new friends who care for him as family… Yes, I know, deja vu right? The plot of the story is a bit similar to Disney’s famous Lion King. Well if serving as some sort of inspiration for a Disney movie isn’t a huge footprint on the world of anime, then I don’t know what is!

Koukaku Kidoutai (Ghost in the Shell)

Based on the manga of the same title, this sci-fi anime set in a technologically advanced world, was a huge box office hit in Japan and is now considered a true classic anime by fans throughout the world. It even inspired the Wachowskis in their creation of the hit Hollywood film The Matrix. Also classic is the OST of Stand Alone Complex, composed by prolific musical genius Yoko Kanno.

Shinseiki Evangelion (Neon Genesis Evangelion)

http://www.fanpop.com

Evangelion is an apocalyptic anime is set in a futuristic Tokyo fifteen years after a worldwide cataclysm. It is one of the most successful and critically acclaimed anime series of the ’90s and its legacy and massive franchise still have an accelerating momentum worldwide. They are still releasing movies that retell and continue the story of the emotional mecha masterpiece.

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon (Sailor Moon)

http://nerdsinbabeland.com

Sailor Moon is one of the most iconic magical girl anime in the history of anime. It gave birth to cute transformation sequences and tons of memorable catchphrases that little girls from all around the world copied over and over again. Some would even go as far to say that Sailor Moon is their childhood. This classic anime helped ease Japanese animation into the hearts of Western audiences, making it more mainstream and relatable for generations to come.

Dragon Ball

forum.bodybuilding.com

Son Goku is one of the most famous martial arts fighters in the world of anime. Known for his naivety and super strong body, he sets on a quest to find the seven wish-granting Dragon Balls. The sequels Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT are also famous and have been broadcast throughout the world, and both have a massive fan base that continues to grow to this day. This classic anime has also spawned several Western adaptations, including a (rather unfortunate) Hollywood live action movie.

15 Amazing Pictures Of Wild Life & Photographers That Will Make You Go Aww https://pakiholic.com/15-amazing-pictures-of-wild-life-photographers-that-will-make-you-go-aww/ Wed, 25 Apr 2018 12:54:19 +0000 http://pakiholic.com/?p=6220 Wild-life photography is an amusing and cheerful job but it can also be daunting and make you push your own limits. You need to be determined, patient, strong and experienced. It’s definitely not the same as taking photos of your cute little bush in the garden while these guys embrace the wilderness of the Amazon or even the Arctics!

You discover how much adrenaline your body can produce.

It offers you intimacies you could never ever think of or expect.

And you discover how great it is feels to be trusted.

You experience the excitement of being the first person discover new places, new things.

It tells you the necessity of adaptation.

You see that humans are a part of the nature.

And when you are approached with love, how easily you can blend in.

Very close, and actually active friends!

You realize you should always watch your back.

It gives you valuable friends with whom you’ll communicate without using words!

You comprehend the true meaning of “approaching with love”.

You witness the balance of life from the front rows.

You sadly notice that humans are indeed the wildest creatures in nature.

You sadly and dreadfully become aware of how you come apart from the nature , and actually how you’ve cast yourself away from nature.

You see true love.

It gives you the opportunity of seeing every color of the world as you get among them.

Male Stork Flies 14,000km Every Year To See Handicapped Female Partner https://pakiholic.com/male-stork-flies-14000km-every-year-to-see-handicapped-female-partner/ Tue, 17 Apr 2018 07:50:33 +0000 http://pakiholic.com/?p=6081 In the age of commitment issues and distractions, how many of us humans would do the same for our spouse? And keeping in mind, taking a flight is convenient comparatively.

This faithful male stork flies thousands of miles EVERY SINGLE YEAR to join his handicapped female companion who can’t fly. And this is just the most heart-squeezing thing. The story of Klepetan and Malena, the names given to the beautiful couple by observers, is one of the love stories that demonstrates loyalty beyond human comprehension.

By late March, Klepetan was back in the tiny village of Brodski Varos, eastern Croatia, for his 16th year in a row, after leaving his winter home in South Africa.

He flies to meet the love of his life, Malena, which translates to ‘Little One’ in Croatian. There Malena waits to start having more babies. The beautiful faithful couple already have 62 children flying around the world.

The final destination of Klepetan has been traced to near Cape Town, South Africa, some 14,500 kilometers (9,000 miles) from Malena. Which takes him about a month to travel. This faithful couple has made them celebrities in Croatia.

Local school caretaker, Stjepan Vokic, adopted Malena in 1993 when he found her near a pond, injured by a shot from hunters.

When the Spring blossoms, the caretaker makes a gigantic nest for Malena on the building’s roof. And it is where Klepetan and Malena meet.

“I also take her fishing since I can’t take her to Africa. We even watch TV together. If I had left her in the pond foxes would have eaten her. But I changed her fate, so now I’m responsible for her life.”

This beautiful couple leaves us questioning our own sense of commitment. Would we ever do the same for our partners? Would our partners ever do the same for us? In the age of distractions and commitment issues, it is hard to find the right people for you, the kind of people who would stick to you through thick n’ thin. Let’s be inspired by Klepetan and Malena and be a positive example demonstrating the true meaning of love and truthfulness.

3rd April – Punish A Muslim Day https://pakiholic.com/3rd-april-punish-a-muslim-day/ Tue, 03 Apr 2018 12:26:09 +0000 http://pakiholic.com/?p=5753 This day even existing in some countries is a major tragedy for the Muslims of 21st Century. The Islamophobia which has increased over the years post-9/11 and is becoming more evident with every passing year. This day would have been highly looked down upon about a decade ago, however it has a substantial amount of following in 2018 all over the world. Muslim communities in most Western countries are giving precautionary measures to fellow Muslims to be safe.

Source: ET

3rd April is the designated day for this heinousness and is majorly followed by individuals in the UK. Several WhatsApp messages circulating in Islamic communities have warned people about going outside and are encouraging them to lock their doors properly as April 3rd is the day chosen to carry out acts of violence against Muslims.

Source: ET

In March the law-enforcement agencies took actions against the propaganda being spread from anonymous sources. There were letters received at different locations that promoted the idea of punishing a muslim in any way possible.

A WhatsApp message explained the intense propaganda letter in full, including details about the ‘points system’ which is encouraging the torture, acid attacks, arson of mosques and assaults.

Source: ET

“This is not a joke its sick plan they have a pointing system where they will be giving points and reporting on a site with videos etc punishments include taking off hijabs…beating up and even acid throwing” – A report by ‘The Mirror’

The point system reportedly is a comprehensive plan to inflict damage upon a Muslim, and this act of terrorism would be rewarded. This is absolutely depressing for any human, to be discriminated against due to their religion. Is this what humanity has reduced down to ? Islam is the second largest religion on Earth, with billions of followers in every continent.

Source: archbishopcranmer

There are counter-narratives against such movement, there was one called “Appreciate a Muslim Day”, and several more. The community centers are doing their best to provide a safe location for Muslims under threat. Several prominent politicians have raised their voice against this movement as well, however the fact remains that this movement still has a following, and could result in a disastrous manner.

Here Is Why Your Hate For Malala’s Return Is Biased https://pakiholic.com/here-is-why-your-hate-for-malalas-return-is-biased/ Sun, 01 Apr 2018 09:54:46 +0000 http://pakiholic.com/?p=5638 Pakistan’s prolific icon of girls education and the fight against terrorism, Malala Yousafzai returned home to Pakistan after 5 years amidst support and criticism. Upon her arrival at the airport, the media frenzied around her to get a statement but she was whisked away to the Prime Minister House to address the press.

The world online has exploded. The sentiments are all over the place but the majority of them seem to be negative, callous and hateful. From being branded as a drama queen, unqualified to be winning a Nobel Peace Prize and faker, Malala Yousafzai has faced quite the rigorous hate from her own countrymen and women. To the educated, intelligent mind, this comes off as shallow and surprising. We have compiled a list of claims people have made and how they are wrong.

The Bullet To The Face Was Staged:

In early 2009, after Malala’s very prominent activism for girls education in the then terrorism stricken area of Swat, on her way back from exam she underwent a murder attempt. In the process she was shot in the head. Airlifted out of the area with the help of Pakistan Army she was shifted to Rawalpindi, where after stabilizing her condition she was shifted to a hospital in Birmingham.

This comes from people engineering a theory that an entire shooting was staged. True, the online pictures of Malala do not reflect on your post surgery face, which has tremendously healed. People draw comparisons between her and another APS student Waleed Khan, who studies in the UK after acquiring help from the same organization Malala helped fund.

Coming back to the theory that the whole shooting was staged. This is what a person who witnessed the entire incident has to say about it.

What Has Her Contribution Been To The Cause Of Education:

It is amazingly flabbergasting to read this. A girl, who got shot, because she advocated for education of girls in a region stricken by terrorism does not deserve this kind of mindless and unintelligent bias. What more does she have to prove apart from taking a bullet to the head. Ever since her childhood, she has been her fathers favorite in discussing poetry, politics and state of affairs of the country. Her family runs an entire school system in the region of Swat.

Since the inception of Malala Fund, it has actively been working in 9 countries around the world. In order to help the Syrian refugee girls to get access to better education, she has started to raise $1.4 billion.  Through the Malala Foundation, Yousafzai has donated around £750,000 (or USD 1 million) for various education-related causes. She even donated $50,000 of the prize money to rebuild a school in Gaza.

EPA/WAEL HAMZEH

Her Agenda Is A Conspiracy Theory:

Everything around Malala is considered a conspiracy. From her admission to Oxford, to her visit to Pakistan, to how she is funding her education movement. One is pleasantly surprised to see total silence in holding their own political leaders accountable when allegations of corruptions and embezzlement surfaced.

Why Was She Chosen For A Nobel Prize:

People draw comparisons between her and Abdul Sattar Edhi. True, Edhi Saab did humanitarian work way more than Malala ever did but he was also born way before her. In terms of sheer volume, Malala’s work pales in comparison but people tend to forget Edhi Saab did not like to bask in international limelight, even going to the extent of refusing donations from outside Pakistan. Perhaps the right question to ask is what has the Government of Pakistan done to ensure the legacy of his work continues?

These are two major points of arguments that one sees online. The hate seems to stem from a more patriarchal viewpoint, from men who despise seeing a girl/woman achieve things or do better than them.

From attempting to degrade her character, to drawing comparisons between unrelated things, Malala has to suffer severe online abuse. This gentleman sums it up perfectly.

Perhaps the very fact that people were mad and angry that she wasnt in Pakistan, only for her to return to have them screaming get out goes to show Pakistanis will never ever be happy with someone else’s achievement or produce an enabling environment for others to prosper.

6 Things Cat People Can Relate To https://pakiholic.com/6-things-cat-people-can-relate-to/ Sun, 01 Apr 2018 07:23:58 +0000 http://pakiholic.com/?p=5641 Scientific studies have shown that by watching cat videos or videos that are related to cats one can boost their energy and create positive emotions, throughout time cats have been one of the most desirable pets and many cultures such as Egyptian, Mayan and Persian are rich with this creature’s presence.

Today I would like to share 7 points that all we cat lovers and owners come across when we deal with our feline friends.

  1. Owning a cat

Make a correction, you don’t own them, they OWN YOU! – Yes. We all know how cats boss us around to do their dirty work… literally! From cleaning their shits to their vomits, we got to do it all for them and still bear with the attitude!

Why one may ask?

Cause cats are love #catsareiphonesoftheanimalworld #nologicneeded

  1. Transfer of attention

You call out to them all day long and they won’t listen cause well it’s a not a cat if it gives you’re getting its attention that easy, I swear if you guys wanna practice how catch a girls attention win your cats, cause girls are piece of cake next to a cat, you can try all day and your cat even move a whisker in your direction but you sit down to work on your laptop and suddenly they want to cuddle around!!

Sneaky devils…

  1. NOH!!! You no sleep !

You cannot disturb them from their slumber. But they can be on your head even in the middle of the night just because they need to freaking play, want food or just need to go poo. Honestly they don’t like the concept of humans sleeping cause servants never look good sleeping!

  1. No Touchy

Belly rubs for no more than 10.3 seconds or they’ll unleash their scratchy wrath on you!!

  1. Haters Gonna Hate

The judgmental stares, one gets from fellow humans when they see you converse with your cat. “Hey baby how has your day been” and they be looking at you like you some retard! Huh! They’ll never understand!

  1. Cats will be cats, never easy !

These clever creatures can smell their favorite meal from miles away but fail to see the piece of meat right in front of them unless you point at it a million times.

Top 6 Benefits Of Attempting CSS Exams In Pakistan https://pakiholic.com/top-6-benefits-of-attempting-css-exams-in-pakistan/ Thu, 29 Mar 2018 12:15:30 +0000 http://pakiholic.com/?p=5564 Appearing in the Central Superior Services (CSS) examination is an extremely rewarding experience of one’s life. Success or failure aside, preparing for this most challenging examination will open new fields of leaning which will help you in your practical life.

Civil Services of Pakistan is an institution where you can serve, enjoy power and command respect-all in one. That is why, every year around 12 thousand candidates take this examination out of which nearly 400/500 pass the written examination; only 150/200 are finally selected. It is a thrill to compete with thousands and be successful-accept the challenge.

Central Superior Service is the executive exam of government which opens gateway for higher appointments in all important departments of the governments. These department include District Administrative Service, Police Service of Pakistan, Foreign Service of Pakistan, Pakistan Audit and Account Service, Internal Revenue Service, Pakistan Customs Service, Information Group, Office Management Group, Military Land and Cantonment, Railway Group, Postal Group, Commerce and Trade Group.

Professional Opportunities:

Passing the exams promises a respectable and coveted professional opportunity. Public servants are highly appreciated and honored in the society. CSS also develops a fine taste in the aspirant and one becomes habitual of reading newspapers and books and remains well informed about national and international happenings.it is a fair opportunity which grooms the personality of candidate along with many other perks.

Active & Effective Role In Society:

After passing CSS examination, an individual becomes capable of playing an active and effective role in the society. It wields the potential of changing your role in the society from a mere spectator to an active contributor. This exam opens doors to the elite bureaucratic structure of the country, and every one getting through it gets authority at least to such an extent that they, unlike the other members of the society, can practically work for the eradication of widespread injustice, atrocity and oppression.

Passing the CSS exam presents ample opportunities to make best use of the skills, talent and prowess to the best of society’s interest. More precisely, being a CSP officer, saves from feeling helpless at any occasion in the peculiar society of Pakistan.

Job Security & Career Growth:

Job security and career growth are two other benefits available to the officers who enter the Civil Service of Pakistan through CSS examination. Unlike private-sector employees, such officers are not required to prove themselves on a daily basis; and unlike officers belonging to other government service and cadres, they do not have to face long delays in promotion. CSP officers are extremely clear about their growth schedule right from the beginning and therefore are in a better position to plan their lives accordingly.

Plentiful Opportunities:

After passing CSS exam, one enters government service at a level where opportunities are plentiful. Educational scholarships and trainings, which broaden the vision of the officers, are frequently available at national and international level. Even after few initial years of service, there is a marked intellectual enhancement Where, generally, the job in Pakistan is considered an obstacle to persisting with one’s dream of never ending the education-seeking process; the situation after passing CSS examination is entirely different: the more a person wants to learn, the more opportunities he gets. In many cases, people avail such scholarships where managing family abroad is also possible and thus the educational visit becomes a family excursion as well.

Honor & Prestige:

Another reason to go for CSS is the honour and prestige that getting through it brings to the aspirant, just like entering a medical college or an engineering university. The moment one passes the CSS exam, all the eyes around him suddenly change and more often than not he is made to realize that he is special in the society of ‘common’ people. This joy and feeling of being the focus of eyes keeps increasing with every passing year and perhaps lasts, up to some extent, even after the retirement. While comparing a CSP officer with highly-paid private sector employees, a bureaucrat once said, “Lahore is brimful of hundreds of billionaires no one knows, yet the DCO of Lahore is one and you all know him.”

Social Connections:

Social connections of CSS officers are many more in number and far stronger in durability as compared with those of the people associated with other professions. Civil Services Academy is the place that provides roof under which all the probationers, belonging to 12 different occupational groups, are kept together for six to eight months. This is the time that injects in them a sense of brotherhood to one another. When a CSP officer sits in his office on the very first day, he has hundreds of batch-mates and friends sitting in hundreds of public offices across the country at the same time.

This blog does not intend to declare Civil Services as the best job in the country. In fact, no job can be declared as best because priorities of different human beings are different and one shoe cannot fit all the feet. This blog is aimed at highlighting the benefits that the career in Central Superior Services of Pakistan entails. CSS exam provides the state the people who would run its affairs for at least 30 years to come; and this state genuinely deserves to have the best lot. This is an attempt to assure the best minds of this country that if they decide to burn the midnight oil for CSS preparation, it is really worth it!
