People around the world are praising a Pakistani singer for rescuing a girl during a live concert.

A video of the famous Pakistani singer Atif Aslam, stopping the live performance in Karachi, has been going viral on the Internet. The video has been shared tens of thousands of times and has won the hearts of many people around the world. It can be seen in the video that the singer told his band to stop the performance and then loudly asked the alleged harasser: “Have you ever seen a girl before? What if someone does this to your mother or sister?”

Atif did not stop there, he called the security and asked them to rescue the girl. The girl was standing in the front row, and the security staff helped her climb to the stage. Then she was escorted off the stage to a secure place.

Then he once again took to the mic and gave a slight warning to the crowd that if you enjoy the show soberly, it will be quite a long show. But in case you behave like this, I’ll be compelled to windup the show quickly.

The audience first got confused with what was happening. Once the crowd realized what had happened, they applauded this act of the singer and started chanting his name. Atif Aslam is one of the most popular Pakistani singers in the world with a huge fan base in Pakistan, India, United Arab Emirates and other countries.

Harassment of women in concerts is not a new thing. It happens all over the world, but hardly makes any news as it is somewhat thought to be a part of the chaos, loud music, and the huge crowds in concerts. It wasn’t the first time that a singer stopped the concert in order to stop harassment in the audience. Few months ago, Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz made it to the headlines for confronting a man who was allegedly attacking a girl during a concert in Mexico.

What do you think about the harassment in concerts? Have you seen any such event? Also, what do you think of this act by Atif? Let us know in the comments section.
